A Prayer for Guidance and Wisdom
Lord, I need wisdom today. Thank You for this promise — that You give wisdom generously, without reproach. No eye-roll, no "you should have known this by now." Just generosity. I'm grateful for that, because I genuinely feel uncertain, and I need what only You can give. I'm facing a decision, or several, and I don't know what the right answer is. I've thought it through. I've asked people I trust. I've weighed the options. And I still feel uncertain. The Bible says to ask You. Not to figure it out and then confirm it with You, but to actually ask for the wisdom I don't have. Give me wisdom that's practical — the kind that helps me see this situation clearly, without the distortion of fear or pride or wishful thinking. Help me see the options as they actually are, not as I want them to be. Give me wisdom that's patient. Help me to sit in the uncertainty rather than forcing a premature conclusion. Give me wisdom that's honest. If I already know, somewhere, what the right path is, give me the courage to face it. And remind me that guidance isn't just about getting the decision right. It's about walking closely with You through it. Lead me. I'll follow. In Jesus' name. Amen.
